The ABB ACS355-03U-08A8-4 is a compact variable frequency drive developed for industrial machinery and motor speed control applications. With a 3-phase input voltage range of 380 to 480 V AC and a 5 HP / 4 kW motor rating, it provides controlled motor starting, stopping and speed regulation while helping machine builders achieve a compact and efficient control-panel design. The drive has an 8.8 A continuous output current rating and supports 50% overload for one minute every ten minutes under the specified operating conditions.
The ACS355 series is particularly suited to applications where straightforward commissioning, flexible motor control and reliable operation are important. The drive supports sensorless vector control for induction and permanent-magnet motors, built-in sequence programming, application macros and a built-in braking chopper.
